Bobcat Season To Close In Trapping District 1 - Dec. 28, 2009
By order of the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission the season for trapping of all bobcats in Trapping District 1 in northwestern Montana will close at midnight on Sunday, December 27, 2009.

DES MOINES - The bobcat quota has filled and the season is closed as of 9 p.m., Saturday, beginning the 48 hour grace period for trappers to report any animals to a conservation officer and receive their proper tags. The grace period officially ends at 9 p.m., Nov. 30.

The creation of separate bobcat and gray fox seasons is just one of the regulation changes made by members of the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners during their June meeting in Lovelock. Other regulation changes include the creation of some new hunting seasons for wild turkey, but hunters will also see some reduction in the number of tags available in some units for the upcoming fall and spring wild turkey hunts.
